Jubilee Steam Gallopers
Centre Engine - Anna

National Carousel Association Logo © Gary Nance
Date of picture: April, 2005
Steam centre engine, made by Tidman of Norwich, it is earlier dated than the ride it powers. Originally built c1892, it has been updated over the years to ensure safety compliance.

This engine is named Anna, for Anna Carter.

When the carousel is disassembled for moving, the lower part of the center section remains intact. It's actually a trailer with the steam engine permanently attached. One of the trailer's wheels is visible in the foreground of this picture.
