This Dentzel horse, named "Bob," is one of the many "sponsored" animals on this historic carousel. About half of the animals on the carousel are privately sponsored, which means that individuals have funded the renovation of those animals and have granted them names.
In return, they own "VIP" passes that entitle them and their families and friends to ride. While helping to save the carousel, the "sponsorship" program also helped awaken in the general community an awareness of its heritage.
