This chariot is wheelchair accessible. By pulling two pins and removing the seat cushion the chariot slides back to allow entry of a wheel chair. The wheel chair and rider are held in place by the seat belt.
The chariot was patterned after the back half of a 1908 Dentzel chariot, as pictured in Tobin Fraley's book, "The Carousel Animal".
