The NCA Proudly Presents:
Semaphore Beach Carousel
Semaphore Beach Foreshore, South Australia
Made by Len Northey, 1928
Presentation courtesy of Patricia Mullins

The Semaphore Carousel, built by Len Northey in 1928, is a unique, Australian made ride. The set of 40 horses was made by Robert Bartlett in Melbourne, all hand carved. The 3 row machine originally operated at Henley Beach, South Australia. It was moved further north up the coast to Semaphore Beach around 1936 where it has remained.
