A Carousel for Missoula
Lucky Red Ringer - the Dragon Ring Arm

National Carousel Association Logo © Gary Nance
Date of picture: April, 2004
This dragon (named Lucky Red Ringer) is the carousel's "ring arm." The plastic rings are loaded into a clear tube, which is placed inside the dragon. The tube is visible at the front of the dragon's mouth (currently empty of carousel rings).

A close look will reveal a wedding ring on one of the dragon's fingers. This ring was placed there by the dragon's primary carver, John Thompson, whose wife claimed that he spent more time with his dragon than he spent with her!
