The 2008 NCA Technical Conference was held in Story City, Iowa on May 2, 3 and 4, 2008! The Conference was centered at the Story City Antique Carousel, which had just celebrated the 25th anniversary of its restoration!

In addition to a tour (and free rides!) of the main street carousel, the 2008 conference included presentations on:

A tour on Friday afternoon included stops at:

RVP~1875 - A working museum that features a master furniture maker who crafts 1800s style furniture using the tools and techniques from that period.
Tours of the 1903 Bartlett Museum and the 1913 Story Theatre (oldest continuously running theater in Iowa).
The 1859 Sheldall Country Schoolhouse
The 1936 Swinging Bridge.
A visit to the 9-hole golf course in Story City on Sunday before returning home
