In Memory - Terry Blake
A long time member of the NCA, she served as Executive Secretary from 1990 - 2005. During her tenure, one of the longest in our organization's history, she took us into the new age of technology and communication. With email she had become "TerryBNCA," which served as a perfect description of her approach to serving the members and carousels alike in answering questions or finding solutions to their queries. Whether it was by letter, phone, or email she provided a friendly, personal contact to everyone. Above all we enjoyed her terrific sense of humor and often fell victim to her spell as she cajoled us to bid even higher at the annual convention. With her reliable hand at the helm, her assistance to the Board of Directors in their endeavors to preserve, protect and promote our classic carousels was priceless. Terry is survived by her father, Charles A. Blake and brothers Charles, James, and Steven and their families as well as her English Setters. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn and brother David.
