A three row carousel, the ride is a late 1800s German machine with a mix of American "Dare" and Australian "Roebuck" wooden horses. Owned and operated by the Haas family (with a long history in the European show business) the carousel is part of a National Trust of Australia classification of the Haas Family carnival. It has been operating at The Entrance (a town in New South Wales) since 1930. The carousel was steam driven until the 1950s when a Chevrolet motor replaced the steam drive. In the 1970s an electric drive was installed.
