A Carousel for Missoula
Rubie

National Carousel Association Logo © A Carousel for Missoula

Rubie was named after its adoptive family, and carries tennis balls on its breast collar in honor of their love of tennis.

Even more unique are the wooden dollars carved on the saddlebags, placed there because of the family's involvement in the banking business.

Adopted by: Rubie Family
Designer: John Thompson
Body carved by: Bob Salo
Sander: Ione Briedlander
Painters: Janet Potts, Marlies Borchers, Roberta King, Primed - Ethel Diettert
