A Carousel for Missoula
Silver

National Carousel Association Logo © A Carousel for Missoula

Silver, inspired by a real three-quarters quarterhorse named Silver, carries a vine of yellow sweet peas which grow wild each spring in the Smith River and upper Missouri River country. The sweet peas are also a reminder of the courtship of adopters Randy and Theresa Cox. According to Randy, a bouquet of sweet peas delivered to Theresa "worked every time!"

The three J's on the stirrup represent the Cox children: Jason, Jessica and Jamie.
