"Matthew," a Carmel jumper photographed shortly before the finishing touches of his renovation were applied by local NJ artist Marie DeSaules. "Matthew" is named for a seeing eye dog who accompanied his owner for joyous rides on the carousel for many years. His name is inscribed below the saddle in Braile.
