One can see the louvers in the cupola above the carousel. Originally there were windows up there in the ten-sided cupola. These were replaced in the late 1950s with louvers, which didn't pose the danger of broken glass during severe coastal storms.

The outer row stander in this picture is a Dentzel horse.
